Bold Botanicals + Paul Smith + Space - final outcome
My idea is to change one of rooms in the main boutique of Paul Smith in London over to secret garden, wonderland by changing a décor of the room and serving tea there. From minimalistic, empty rooms, customer would be able to experience blooming English spring contained in one room. The floor full of high grass like at a meadow, walls covered with vintage pastel rose floral print, porcelain, rails, benches and coffee tables made out of dark wood to emphasize a contrast between delicate roses and raw, dark furniture.
That room would be the quintessence of British origins of Paul Smith, would be nostalgic for a designer himself, as well as customers all around the world, a place to relax and forget problems while drinking favourite black tea with milk, an escape from busy, grey surroundings in the centre of London.
But English rose not only represents British culture but also symbolises delicacy and beauty of women, those floral prints, pastel colours, and alluring porcelain add feminine accent to the brand, which we were not able to find before.
I believe that my idea would speak to youth because of the uniqueness of the room, it could be an amazing place to take original pictures for social media as Instagram, which would promote Paul Smith even more. On the other hand because of the nostalgia and tranquillity, the room would encourage elderly people to take a deep breath and reminisce old times. And finally Paul Smith would start speaking to women all around the world by creating place, which would not exist without them.
